Rhiannon Pugh is a partner with over ten years' experience in advising on all aspects of competition law in the UK, Brussels and Germany.

A main part of Rhiannon's practice involves providing fast-paced advice to clients on the requirements for merger control and foreign direct investment (FDI) clearances, in particular in the UK and EU, for proposed transactions. She has been involved in advising on some of the largest global transactions in recent years and has a wealth of experience of coordinating complex global transactions with local counsel around the world. She also has extensive experience of advising on complex cartel investigations and abuse of dominance cases.

Rhiannon regularly conducts compliance training for clients, in particular those active in the retail and leisure space, on a range of competition law topics, including dawn raid preparedness. She specialises in providing advice to retail and leisure clients on competition law-related questions arising in their day-to-day business and is an expert on the law of distribution agreements.

Rhiannon is dual-qualified in the UK and Germany. Based in London, she regularly travels to the Frankfurt office and supports the team at Gowling WLG Germany with their competition law needs. Rhiannon speaks native-level German.
