Emma Reid is the Group Head of Legal for the Frasers Group PLC, has been in the legal industry for over 15 years and in the retail sector with the Group for 11 of those.
Emma completed a law degree, but initially joined a top-class corporate graduate training programme within the automobile industry to gain invaluable experience working in a challenging and competitive industry. Emma then rejoined the legal World and trained at Browne Jacobson LLP in Nottingham before moving in-house.
Throughout Emma’s professional career, she has supported across the full ecosystem of an organisation, engaging with the C-suite and senior stakeholders to drive commercial gains and operational efficiencies through leading projects and providing advice on strategic matters, on a global-basis, both contentious and non-contentious.
Emma is responsible for a team of lawyers who advise the entire Group on commercial contracts, disputes, integration of acquisitions, regulatory matters and brand development across the Globe, a team of data protection advisors who support the business in complying with its data protection obligations and creating a culture of ‘privacy by design’ in new and exciting consumer offerings and the company secretarial function who support the board in its governance and reporting responsibilities as well as maintain a large portfolio of corporate entities across the globe.
